Emu
The Emu is a large bird about 5 feet+ that weights about 100-120 pounds and lives in the lush grass areas of the savanna. The Emu eats a large variety of food from fruits, insects, seeds, flowers and its favorite which is caterpillars. The Emu at one time was able to fly but over time its predators died out and there was no need for their wings anymore so they underdeveloped and by the time the Europeans came to hunt the Emu birds they had already lost their ability to fly.

The Emu bird is not endangered but some scientists say that they will be within the next century because of farmers killing them for damaging their crops. The young Emu's predators are dingoes, foxes and feral cats but he adult Emu's predators are usually human farmers that kill them for damaging crops since they are 100-120 pounds they can easily damage crops by walking or eating them.
